It's that time of year when everyone is busy. With just a few weeks left in the term, classrooms are in full swing, final assessments are wrapping up, parent-teacher conversations are happening, and both families and school staff alike are counting down to the upcoming term break.
Amid all that activity, it’s easy for the things you want to get done before the end of the year to keep getting pushed down the list.
So, before Term 3 disappears (not long now!), we’re bringing you a few things worth getting ahead of.
Planning to launch Qustodio Parent Tools before the end of the year? NOW is the time to start preparing. Whether you’re working through your rollout plan, have questions or simply want to know what the process looks like, your Customer Success team is here to help you get moving.
Already launched Qustodio? This is an ideal time to give parent engagement a boost. Help families re-engage with a timely reminder, or ask your Customer Success Manager to activate our automated Qustodio Invitation Campaign - a simple way to help get more families connected. Not sure what the campaign includes or how it works? Suzi has put together a brief video unpacking how you can significantly boost parent engagement quickly and easily.
If you missed our recent Term 3 Classroom Manager webinar, teachers can still watch the replay and pick up practical and helpful ideas to best support and guide their students in their classroom learning while using the tools to minimise digital distraction.
As Suzi is on a well-earned break over September feel free to connect with either David (Customer Success) or Jason and Harry (Account Management) while she's away.
Finally, we're excited to announce that Linewize will be back as Platinum Sponsor for next year’s engagED ISNSW ICT Leadership Conference in May 2027. It’s always one of our favourite events on the calendar, and we can’t wait to see many familiar faces there again next year. And don’t forget to save the date for MITIE NITIE, May the 4th be.... AWESOME! 😉"

Informed by Global Insight, supporting Australian schools
While Linewize is part of a global cyber safety community, our focus here is firmly local. Each month, we cut through the noise to share only the cyber safety news, trends and practical tips that matter most for our Australian schools. That means clear, relevant updates you can actually use - from classroom-ready guidance to emerging online behaviours we’re seeing locally - so you can stay informed without being overwhelmed.
The school holidays can mean more freedom, more fun - and often, a lot more screen time. Help your parent community find a healthy balance between screen time and green time with this practical resource from your school’s Online Safety Hub:
For younger children:
Practical advice to help parents establish healthy screen-time routines during the holidays.
For teens:
Guidance to help parents set realistic boundaries and support teenagers to take greater responsibility for their digital habits.
This is a great and way to help families enjoy a healthier, more balanced term break - with plenty of time for both screens and everything else.
We know digital parenting isn’t always easy - particularly when your child seems to know more about the online world than you do!
The new Qustodio Monthly Parent Newsletter is packed with genuinely helpful, practical content to help parents keep up with the rapidly changing digital landscape, navigate tricky conversations and support their children to develop healthy, positive technology habits.
Want to share the newsletter with your parent community? Reach out to your Linewize Customer Success or Account Management team, and we’ll enable the newsletter for your families.
You may start to notice a slightly more polished (and suspiciously camera-ready) version of Suzi popping up in some of our upcoming recorded video training content. 👀
We’ve introduced a customised avatar to help us create helpful updates, training and resources more quickly and consistently for our customers. No, Suzi hasn't had a digital makeover - and yes, she's still very much real!
Think of the avatar as our virtual assistant: available on demand, never needs a coffee break, and always keen to share all things Linewize with you!
Monitor
Monitor’s updated safeguarding categories are now live for ALL Monitor customers. These changes are designed to make risks easier to identify, prioritise and report - particularly high-risk areas such as suicide, school violence, racism and hate speech, and CSAM/CSEA. You’ll see some new and renamed categories in your Monitor dashboard. We recommend taking a quick look at your Alerting Profiles to make sure they reflect how you want the new alert categories to be managed. Check out the "read more" link below to watch our brief overview video.
Linewize Filter
Linewize Connect now officially supports Chrome OS Flex with the Connect for Chrome extension, giving schools a tested way to extend the life of ageing PCs and Macs as Chromebooks.
Qustodio
Classroom Manager
We're introducing a new customisable layout and a Quick Access Toolbar in Classroom Manager that lets teachers manually arrange student tiles to match their actual classroom seating, and quickly apply bulk actions to multiple students.
Qustodio
Qoria Filter for iOS v1.5.1 brings a number of improvements including MDM bypass (domain whitelisting) and improved Captive Portal loading. Existing users app will auto-update the agent, or you can manually push the update out via your MDM.
Qustodio
For families with Qustodio personal subscriptions, billing is moving from annual to monthly subscriptions for new and existing subscribers. This won't impact parents who make use of the Linewize Connect Parent Tools school offer.

Our refreshed guide walks schools through the core concepts and features of Linewize Monitor, including a fully updated suggested Alerting Profile Configuration that includes the twelve new and updated risk categories.
It also covers how to configure your school's Alerting Profiles so the right alerts reach the right staff, how to adjust thresholds by age and year level, and where to find further support and training.
Share this updated guide with any of your staff involved in managing and responding to Monitor risk alerts.
Beyond the Basics: Using AI Effectively in the Classroom.
AI has real potential for teaching and learning. But not every teacher knows what's appropriate to use in the classroom, and what isn't. For this reason our ySafe team have created a free, short (but robust) course to help your staff understand the basics of using AI responsibly, safely and effectively.
It covers practical guidance on using AI in the classroom, understanding the risks, and managing student interactions with it, so your teachers feel more confident using it and your team fields fewer questions.
Parenting teens aged 13–15 comes with a whole new level of screen time pushback - and it's tempting for parents to ease off the rules just as they need guidance most. We help explain why boundaries still matter at this age and offer a collaborative approach to setting limits that respects teens' growing need for autonomy without giving up on healthy habits altogether.
