Recommendations for Remote Learning

To increase equitable access to online learning opportunities during remote learning, many schools have given students school-owned devices to take home. If your school has done the same, or you’re planning to, School Manager can help ensure these devices remain protected at home, at all times.

If your school wants to protect school-owned devices that have been sent home for remote learning and/or student Google accounts, we recommend contacting your school's IT Manager or Linewize Support to see if this option can be configured for your school. This will ensure that the school's best practice for wellbeing filtering is protecting students 24/7, while they're working remotely.

During remote learning, we expect schools to be using technology in more creative and diverse ways than ever before. To minimise potential interference, your school may need to consider relaxing your school's filtering policies. Please refer to guidelines on the School Community Platform page.
